Objective:
Motivate students to use Study Island outside of school. Increased participation in Study Island for mathematics will help students take ownership and responsibility of their academic achievement in the area of mathematics tested by the NJASK.
Theme/Initiative:
This year’s initiative will continue the focus on practicing and improving math skills. The theme will be based on the famous television show “Survivor”. Each math class is a "tribe" and will participate in "Study Island Tribal Challenges" throughout the school year to earn points for a pizza party at the end of the school year.
Incentives are also in place for students individually per unit and grade level.
1st MP - most time spent on Study Island; 2nd MP -most blue ribbons; 3rd MP - high scores on games; 4th MP - earned ALL blue ribbons with high percentage correct
