Teaching the Teachers: Summer Professional Development
Each summer the teachers in Brick have a series of professional development days in which they learn new methods, share with each other, and further prepare for the upcoming school year.  Recently we “caught” them in action during an Everyday Math professional development workshop.  To prepare for the full rollout of this program, teachers worked in groups, discussed implementation, put the lessons into practice, and collaborated together.
