School District wins FoodBank’s "Phillip N. Connelly Spirit of Giving Award"
The Brick Township Public School District was awarded the “Phillip N. Connelly Spirit of Giving Award" from the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. This award was created because of Philip’s extraordinary acts of kindness and generosity shown through his donations to the FoodBank as well as other charitable organizations. Philip was a former VMMS student whose young life was tragically ended in a car accident. The Brick Township School District was presented with this prestigious award for coming together as a district to help the FoodBank raise more than 68,044 pounds of food. Congratulations to the students and staff for their creativity and generosity as well as the parents and guardians for always supporting student efforts.
