Lil’ Scientists!
This year a select group of Lake Riviera Middle School eighth grade students joined Osbornville Elementary School’s first graders for a year of science fun. The eighth grade students came to Osbornville School three times to teach three programs they created with the help of their teachers. Supervised by Miss Lane and Miss Bowman, they prepared lessons after school and visited each classroom to teach the children in a station format. For the final program, Osbornville students traveled to Lake Riviera Middle School to build mouse houses, explore in an outdoor classroom, use physical education and character education activities, and learn about how bubbles are formed. So many lessons were learned thanks to the Lake Riviera Middle School PTA who provided funding for the program.
