How do VMMS Cougars and LRMS Lakers become Princeton University Tigers?
Made possible by a Target Field Trip grant, fifty 8th grade EXCEL students visited Princeton University on May 4, 2010 as part of a joint field trip between VMMS and LRMS. The “back-packs to brief-cases trip” was part of a College Bound unit taught to show middle school students what they need to do in high school to be prepared for the college application process. The students toured the campus, ate in a Princeton dining hall, and met with a Princeton professor, Dr. G. Dr. G informed the students on how to prepare for college, such as what Princeton looks at for the admission process. A Brick Township High School student who is now a Princeton University student, even met with the students!
