Brick Schools Host an Informational EXCEL Program for Elementary Parents
On the evening of Tuesday, March 23, 2010, more than 250 grade school parents and guardians packed into Brick Township High School for a program titled “Your Child Has Been Identified As Gifted… Now What?” In a continuous effort to further involve the family in a child’s educational journey, Brick Township Public Schools designed this evening lecture to help increase parent awareness of the school district’s EXCEL program. EXCEL, standing for Enrichment of eXceptional Creative Engaged Learners, is a program that Brick designed to meet the needs of students who are identified as gifted and talented.
